1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using the SastaStay website, mobile application, or any services provided by SastaStay Hostel Management System ("Services"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

• Possess the legal authority to create a binding legal obligation
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel bookings at our discretion.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Reservation

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. A booking is considered confirmed only after you receive a confirmation email from SastaStay with a booking reference number.

3.2 Documentation

At the time of check-in, you must present:

• Valid government-issued photo identification
• Student ID (if applicable)
• Booking confirmation

3.3 Check-in and Check-out

Standard check-in time is 12:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and subject to additional charges.

4. Payments & Fees

4.1 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

• Credit/Debit Cards
• Net Banking
• UPI
• Digital Wallets
• Bank Transfer

4.2 Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is required at the time of check-in. This deposit will be returned within 15 business days after check-out, minus any deductions for damages, outstanding dues, or cleaning fees if applicable.

5. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policies vary based on the timing of cancellation:

• 30+ days before check-in: Full refund
• 15-30 days before check-in: 50% refund
• 7-14 days before check-in: 25% refund
• Less than 7 days before check-in: No refund

6. Code of Conduct

All residents are expected to adhere to the following rules:

6.1 General Behavior

• Respect the rights and privacy of other residents
• Maintain quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM
• No smoking in rooms or common areas (designated smoking areas only)
• No alcohol consumption in common areas
• No illegal activities on the premises

6.2 Property Care

• Do not cause damage to hostel property
• Report any maintenance issues promptly
• Keep your room and common areas clean
• Do not use high-wattage electrical appliances

6.3 Guest Policy

Guests are allowed between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM only. All guests must register at the reception. Overnight guests are not permitted without prior approval from management.

7. Liability

7.1 Personal Property

SastaStay is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property. Residents are advised to secure their valuables and consider personal insurance.

7.2 Personal Injury

To the extent permitted by law, SastaStay shall not be liable for any personal injury, except where such injury results from our negligence.

7.3 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, or government restrictions.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your stay and require you to vacate the premises immediately for the following reasons:

• Non-payment of fees
• Violation of code of conduct
• Illegal activities
• Behavior that threatens the safety or comfort of other residents

In case of termination, no refund will be provided for the remaining period of stay.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through our website. Your continued use of our Services after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the location where the hostel is situated.
