We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our guests and our hostel operations.
Emergency Cancellations
We understand that emergencies happen. In case of genuine emergencies, we may offer more flexible cancellation options. Emergency situations include:
- Medical emergencies (with supporting documentation)
- Family bereavement (with supporting documentation)
- Travel restrictions due to government regulations
- Natural disasters affecting travel
To request an emergency cancellation, please contact our support team with relevant documentation within 48 hours of the emergency.
No-Show Policy
If you do not check-in on your scheduled arrival date and do not inform us in advance:
- Your booking will be considered a "no-show" after 24 hours from your scheduled check-in time
- The entire booking amount will be forfeited
- Your reservation will be automatically cancelled
If you're running late, please contact us to avoid being marked as a no-show.
Early Departure Policy
If you need to check out earlier than your scheduled departure date:
- Inform us at least 48 hours in advance for a partial refund
- Refund will be calculated for unused nights minus a ₹500 processing fee
- No refund for early departures without prior notice
Booking Modifications
You can modify your booking subject to availability and the following conditions:
Date Changes
Date changes are allowed up to 7 days before check-in. A modification fee of ₹200 applies. Rate differences will be charged or refunded accordingly.
Room Type Changes
Room upgrades are always subject to availability. Downgrades may be treated as cancellations and rebookings, subject to cancellation policies.
Guest Name Changes
Guest name changes are allowed up to 48 hours before check-in. A verification process may be required for security purposes.
Cancellation Process
To cancel your booking:
- Log in to your SastaStay account
- Go to "My Bookings" section
- Select the booking you wish to cancel
- Click "Cancel Booking" and follow the prompts
- You will receive a cancellation confirmation email
